Hi, my name is Alice. I'm currently a sophomore at Bayside High School's Health
Sciences Academy. I was born in California. My favorite color is blue. Some of
my favorite hobbies include coloring, watching TV, and running. I love reading
books. I tend to like books that are fiction and have action in them. Those
books include Harry Potter, Maximum Ride, and The Hunger Games. I also like
books that are sci-fi/historical. A great example of that is The Giver because
it is about a boy living in a community where everything is the same. There is
no war or hunger, it is a utopia. He later realizes that without those things,
people don't know what suffering is. He is the only one who can see different
colors. I definitely recommend reading it. I read it for my eighth grade English
class. When I get older, I want to be an allergist, pathologist, or a television
journalist (like Diane Sawyer). A random fact about me is that on a piece of
lined paper, I always write between the lines. This is a website for my English
portfolio. Here, I will have a variety of journals and writing pieces. They will
express me as a writer. I don't feel like I'm a very good writer and I hope to
