Revenge

Some experiences can lead people to seek revenge. Those experiences may vary for anyone. It could be within a community, family, or group of friends. Experiencing betrayal or feeling like you have to take matters into your own hands could lead to acts of revenge. An obsession with vengeance could lead to tragedy. It doesn't make people think clearly sometimes. Innocent people could get hurt. Some examples include spreading rumors or gossiping. The people that got hurt never asked for this. It isn't fair. Sometimes, the victims are so hurt that they take extreme actions to make it stop, such as suicide. That's why I think it is important that we stop the hate. Why I chose this piece: I chose this piece because it shows that I can personally connect to real life situations through my writing. Writing this made me think a lot about life. I liked writing this because I could be able to see different point of views on the term 'revenge'. Even though I see different views on it, I still don't think revenge is a good thing, and I think I expressed that through this piece. It also reminded me of a show of the same name, which is about a young woman who tries to get revenge from the people who destroyed her family. She succeeds most of the time, but sometimes I can see that she is deeply saddened when she hurts someone she loves or things get out of control. |
