Five Americans Living On a Stamp

10/11/11
The five people who I would like to be on a stamp are Bill Gates, my cousin Kimberly, my eighth grade math, science, and civics teachers. All of them are a huge inspiration to me. They have all influenced me or made an impact on my life. They changed my perception on things in a positive way. I believe that it is because of them that makes me who I am today.
I choose Bill Gates because even though he was a college dropout, he didn't give up and invented something great. I choose my cousin, Kimberly, because she is such a motivated person. She never gives up on her dreams, and I am so proud of her for graduating from medical school and beginning her dermatology residence. I choose my eighth grade math teacher, Ms. Watts, because she's a very fun person to be around. She makes learning math fun. Even being in her room can just brighten up your day. I choose my eighth grade science teacher, Ms. Johnson, because she always wants the best for her students and she's been through a lot. And last but not least, I choose my eighth grade civics teacher, Mr. Scott, because he gives good advice and always refers something to football or tries to make everyone laugh.
Why I chose this piece: I chose this piece because I got to think about some of the people that are important in my life. It made me think about how different I am because of them. I am extremely thankful to have such people who inspire me so much. Writing this also made me think about my goals and who I want to be later in life. I know that I want to be successful and happy. These people make me feel like I can do anything I want if I work hard and never give up.
